Theme Installation

To install the Ama – bbPress Forum WordPress Theme, log in to your themeforest.net account and download it to your desktop. Inside the download package, you’ll locate the latest version of the ama.zip file.

There are two methods available for installing the theme: The upload Method and the FTP Method.

Prerequisites:

• A downloaded WordPress theme file in .zip format (e.g., ama.zip)
• Access to your WordPress dashboard
• Hosting provider account with FTP access (optional)

Upload Method

Method 1: Upload Method (recommended)

Navigate to Appearance > Themes: Log in to your WordPress dashboard and go to Appearance in the left-hand menu. Then, select Themes.

Click Add New:

On the themes page, click the Add New button at the top.

Upload Theme:

Click the Upload Theme button.

Choose and Install:

Click Choose File, select the downloaded theme .zip file, and click Install Now.

Activate Theme:

Once installation is complete, click Activate to make the theme live on your website.

Method 2: FTP Method (alternative)

Note: This method is typically used if the Upload Method fails.

Download an FTP Client:

Install an FTP client software on your computer, such as FileZilla.

Create an FTP Account:

Through your hosting provider’s control panel, set up an FTP user account with username and password.

Download and Unzip Theme:

Download the theme .zip file and extract its contents to a folder on your computer.

Upload Theme Folder:

Using the FTP client, navigate to the root directory of your WordPress installation. Then, go to the wp-content/themes folder and upload the extracted theme folder (not the .zip file) into it.

Activate Theme from WordPress:

Go to Appearance > Themes in your dashboard. Locate the newly uploaded theme and click Activate to make it live on your website.

Additional Notes:

Ensure you download the actual theme file (usually ending in .zip) and not any additional files or folders provided by the theme seller.
Contact your hosting provider for assistance if you encounter difficulties creating an FTP account.
Remember to back up your website before making any changes.
